ISLAMABAD, FEB 19 (ONLINE): Islamabad High Court (IHC) while inquiring from state counsel as to why court’s order for arranging meeting of Bushra Bibi with Imran Khan was not implemented has ordered law officer should ensure implementation of court’s order.
Contempt of court plea on not arranging meeting of Bushra Bibi with Imran Khan came up for hearing in IHC Wednesday.
Upon it court directed superintendent Adiala jail to appear before it in person on February 27.
The contempt of court plea against superintendent Adiala jail came up for hearing before acting chief justice IHC Sarfraz Dogar.
Faisal Chaudhry appeared in the court on behalf of PTI founder.
The counsel told the court the orders of this court with reference to meeting of Bushra Bibi with PTI founder have not been implemented so far.
Jail superintendent gave statement in the court on January 28 regarding meeting of Bushra Bibi with Imran Khan. The meeting of Bushra Bibi with PTI founder is not being arranged despite statement of jail superintendent.
The court while summoning superintendent Adiala jail adjourned the hearing till February 27.
