ISLAMABAD, FEB 01 (ONLINE): Judicial Commission of Pakistan (JCP) has accorded approval to 10 additional judges for Peshawar High Court (PHC).
JCP met here under Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Yahya Afridi for appointment of additional judges.
The matter of appointment of additional judges in PHC was deliberated over in the meeting.
40 name were under consideration in meeting for appointment of 9 judges in PHC.
As per sources JCP approved 10 additional judges for PHC.
According to agenda 9 judges were to be appointed but CJP approved 10 additional judges.
3 members opposed appointment of additional judges in the meeting.
Sources added approval has been given for appointment of Farah Jamshed, Inam Ullah Khan, Qazi Jawad and Ehsan Ullah as additional judge.
JCP has also approved appointment of Mudassar Amir, Sabit Ullah and Aurangzeb as additional judges.
Approval was given to appoint Abdul Fayyaz, Salah ud Din, Sadiq Ali, Tariq Afridi and Aurangzeb Khan as additional judge in the meeting.
