Govt all set to shift financial burden of Rs 1.68 billion to electricity consumers

ISLAMABAD, JAN 22 (ONLINE): Government is all set to shift additional burden of Rs 1.68 billion to electricity consumers.

Central Power Purchasing Agency (CPPA) has filed plea related to financial requirements with NEPRA.

The plea has been made for charging Rs 1.59 per unit to the power consumers.
Petition has been filed for the fiscal year 2024-25.

The petition includes employees loan, new appointments and legal charges.

The petition includes administrator cost and office operation cost too.

NEPRA will hear the plea on January 29.
