PTI protest in Liaqat Bagh case: Court grants bail to 77 persons including MPA Salar Khan Kakar

RAWALPINDI, JAN 10 (ONLINE): Anti Terrorism Court (ATC) Rawalpindi has approved bail of 77 accused persons including Member Provincial Assembly (MPA) Salar Khan Kakar in the case of siege and arson, interference in government affairs, rioting , violence and terror act in connection with PTI protest in Liaqat Bagh.

The court has ordered to the accused persons to file surety bond in the sum of Rs 100000 each.

City police had registered case No 24/506 against the accused under terrorism act, interference in government affairs, siege and arson and violence.

The accused persons including Salar Khan Kakar and Ghulam Sarwar had filed bail pleas in the courts through lawyers Tahir Malik, Rizwan Akhtar Awan, Qaisar Shah, Malik Amir Salim, Chaudhry Sarwar Mehmood, Zahid Anwar, Sardar Jahangir, Riaz Kazmi, Saqib Ramzan and Adnan Sahahzad Mirza.

The court approved bail pleas of all the accused persons after hearing the arguments of the counsels.

The court while directing all the accused persons to file surety bond of Rs 100000 each ordered to release them if they are not wanted in any other case.

The court adjourned the hearing of Police station Nasir Abad case No 1560, police station Dhamial case No 24/1326 and police station Sadiq Abad case N o 24/3393 till January 15.
