Aparshakti Khurana has carved a niche for himself, performing standout in films like ‘Dangal’, ‘Stree’, ‘Luka Chuppi’, and others. Before he made it as an actor, Aparshakti Khurana dreamed of being a star cricketer in the Indian team. As a young boy in Chandigarh, he devoted all his time and energy to the sport.
In a recent interview with Aparshakti Khurana shared that he felt insecure about his role as captain when his coach brought in a few senior players for the team.
Feeling threatened, Aparshakti devised a plan to have the opposing team’s coach object to lending players. However, when he arrived at practice the next day, he found himself benched.
Reflecting on the situation, Aparshakti remarked that he had been too naive to realize that the two coaches were friends.
In the same interview, Aparshakti Khurana recalled an incident when he was benched during a practice session, and, coincidentally, his father showed up at the academy during his morning run. Upon noticing that Aparshakti wasn’t playing, his father asked the coach for an explanation and learned about his son’s actions.
The ‘Stree’ actor shared that his father was furious, hitting him with a bat all the way home. His father also told him that disrespecting one’s guru is a grave mistake, adding that even if the Hindu gods Brahma, Vishnu, and Mahesh appeared on Earth together, they wouldn’t be able to help him get into the Indian national team because of the disrespect he had shown.
Aparshakti also reflected that perhaps the experience had a lasting impact on him, mentioning that it might have been a reason his mind felt distracted. The ‘Dangal’ actor explained that since that day, he has never disrespected any kind of teacher. He shared that even now, if someone younger than him trains him at the gym, he addresses them as ‘sir’ and ensures he treats them with complete respect.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Aparshakti was recently seen in ‘Stree 2’ and ‘Berlin’.
