Somy Ali, the ex-girlfriend of Bollywood superstar Salman Khan, had made headlines by inviting gangster Lawrence Bishnoi for a Zoom call, stirring significant attention amid ongoing threats against the ‘Dabangg’ actor from Bishnoi’s gang.
In a recent interview with Free Press Journal, Somy emphasized the need for reconciliation rather than focusing on the past. Somy Ali clarified her intentions regarding reaching out to Lawrence Bishnoi, “My intention isn’t to focus on Lawrence Bishnoi’s reputation as a gangster but rather to have a dialogue centered on peace and forgiveness.

She further revealed she would apologize on Salman’s behalf stating, “Yes, I have offered apologies on Salman’s behalf before, and I deeply respect the Bishnoi community.” She expressed a desire to visit their temples and pray there, underscoring her commitment to promoting understanding. However, she also noted that “Any apology for past actions should come from those directly involved.”
The question of whether Salman Khan is prepared to offer an unconditional apology remains unanswered. Ali remarked, “I cannot speak for Salman or his willingness to offer an apology. We have had very limited conversations over the last 20 years.” She stressed that if an apology is warranted, it must be a personal decision made by Salman.
