LAHORE, OCT 03 (ONLINE): Lahore High Court (LHC) has directed to provide pick and drop service to students on school and colleges buses in Punjab.
Justice Shahid Karim of LHC heard the petitions from citizen Haroon Farooq and others besides issuing written order on the petitions for eradication of smog Thursday.
As per court’s order schools and colleges in Punjab should provide pick and drop service on their buses. School Education department should take action against school and colleges which don’t comply with these orders of providing pick and drop service.
The court directed Tollinton market be restored as per map.
It was said in the written order that action be taken against the persons involved in disrupting sewerage system in Tollinton market .
The court has further said in the written order that judicial commission should hold meeting in connection with tree plantation in the surrounding areas of Ring road.
