PTI activist Sanam Javed challenges decision of rejection of her nomination papers

LAHORE, March 21 (Online): PTI social media activist Sanam Javed has challenged in Election Tribunal (ET) the decision of rejection of her nomination papers for Senate election. She has taken the plea in the appeal that Election Commission (EC) has rejected nomination papers of Sanam Javed against the facts. Objection was raised on Sanam Javed that she had not shown plot in the papers. Sanam Javed has no such plot. Appellate Tribunal should order for acceptance of the papers of Sanam Javed.

It is being told that EC has issued final list of candidates from Punjab in connection with Senate election. The nomination papers of Zulfi Bokhari and Sanam Javed have been rejected. The communiqué issued by EC said the candidates whose papers have been rejected can file appeal in Election Tribunal till March 21. The nomination papers of finance minister Muhammad Aurangzeb, Interior minister Mosin Raza Naqvi, Musaddaq Malik from PML-N, Mustafa Ramday, Ahad Cheema and Hamid Khan have been accepted. Nomination papers of Umar Sarfraz Cheema, Walid Iqbal and Yasmin Rashid from PTI have also been accepted.

Polling on 48 seats of Senate will take place on April 2.
