ISLAMABAD, Feb 29 (Online): National Assembly (NA) secretariat has changed schedule for election of speaker and deputy speaker of NA.
The election will take place now today (Friday). NA secretariat has said that nomination papers for the slots of speaker and deputy speaker will be filed till 12 P,M Friday and election for these two slots will also be held today.
The alliance of PML-N, PPP and MQM have nominated Sardar Ayyaz Sadiq from PML-N as candidate for speakership and MNA Ghulam Mustafa Shah from PPP as candidate for the slot of deputy speaker.
PTI founder Imran Khan has also nominated the candidates for speakership and deputy speakership.
