Million of rupees corruption case: judicial remand of Fawad Chaudhry extended for 14 days

RAWALPINDI, FEB 22 (ONLINE): Judge Ali Nawaz of Special court of Anti Corruption Rawalpindi has further extended judicial remand for 14 days in respect of former federal minister Fawad Chaudhry in the case of receiving bribe of millions of rupees from a private housing society.

Fawad Chaudhry was brought form Adiala jail to district Kutchery under stern security on Thursday. Hiba Fawad wife of Fawad Chaudhry and lawyers were also present on the occasion. Fawad Chaudhry appeared in the court with his daughter in his lap .
However the hearing of the case was adjourned till March 12, being the judge on leave.

It is pertinent to mention here Anti corruption establishment had registered case on November 29 last year.
Former federal minister Fawad Chaudhry Fawad Chaudhry, his cousin front man Fouq Sheraz Chaudhry, former district officer planning of district council Jhelum, Muhammad Dawood and secretary district planning and design committee Jhelum have been nominated in the case registered under report of sub inspector Abdul Ghaffar Bhatti. ,

According to text of the case the accused received overall Rs 20 million from private housing society located on GT road Deena as bribe.
Later Fawad Chaudhry while talking to media men in district Kutchery said the situation in the country will worsen despite new government. Any improvement in the situation cannot be expected unless former chairman PTI and PTI are included therein.
