LAHORE, Feb 20 (Online): Lahore High Court (LHC) has referred to IG Police Punjab application seeking initiation of action against CCPO Lahore for providing protocol and saluting to PML-N Quaid Nawaz Sharif on his return from London to Pakistan.
The court directed IG police Punjab to take action as per law.
Justice Abid Aziz Sheikh heard the petition filed by citizen Kamran whereby the step of not initiating action against CCPO Lahore Bilal Kamyana was challenged.
The petition said Nawaz Sharif was convicted and declared proclaimed offender and he was given protocol on October 21 last year. Moreover CCPO Lahore Bilal Siddique Kamyana saluted a convicted person which runs contrary to police rules. He submitted application to the concerned authorities for taking action but it was not addressed.
The court should order to take action against CCPO Lahore.
The court while sending petition to IG Police Punjab directed him to take action as per law.
