LAHORE, February 12 (Online): Justice Ali Baqar Najafi of Lahore High Court (LHC) has remarked the first forum for giving application against election result is Election Commission (EC).
The petitions against success of Khawaja Asif, Maryam Nawaz, Hamza Shehbaz and others came up for hearing before LHC Monday.
Justice Baqar Ali Najafi of LHC remarked the EC is the first forum for filing application . We direct EC to decide the petitions of candidates as per law.
Justice Ali Baqar Najafi remarked is this petition maintainable because election process has completed just now. Is the petitioner not bound to file petition with RO first . The first forum for filing petition is EC.
The counsel Reehana Dar said we went to Returning officer with application. We resorted to the respective forum on completion of election process.
