RAWALPINDI, Feb 03 (Online): Former speaker Punjab Assembly (PA), Wasiq Qayyum, former MNA Sadaqat Abbasi and Umar Tanvir Butt have become approvers in May 9 related cases against PTI founder and Sheikh Rashid.
Sadaqat Abbasi, Wasiq Qayyum and and Umar Tanvir Butt recorded their statements under 154.
According to police sources Col (Retd) Ajmal Sabir, PTI backed candidate for National Assembly (NA) from NA-53 has become approver against Sheikh Rashid in May 9 cases.
Ajmal Sabir has said in his statement recorded to police that Sheikh Rashid had convened meeting on May 6 in Lall Haveli where planning was made for May 9.
Anti Terrorism Court summoned PTI founder, Sheikh Rashid and Sheikh Rashid Rafique on February 6.
These three approvers gave statement in the court that May 9 planning was made at the behest of Sheikh Rashid, Raja Basharat, Sheikh Rashid Rafique, Ijaz Khan Jazi, Rashid Hafiz and PTI founder.
