AC adjourns hearing of Toshakhana reference against PTI founder, Bushra Bibi till today without proceedings

RAWALPINDI, January 23 (Online): Accountability Court (AC) Rawalpindi has adjourned the hearing of Toshakhana reference against PTI founder and Bushra Bibi till today without proceedings.

The hearing was adjourned being judge Muhammad Bashir unwell.

Hearing of case was held in Adiala jail. The statements of witnesses were to be recorded in Toshakhana reference.

It may be mentioned PTI founder resorted to Islamabad High Court (IHC) in connection with nullification of AC decision in Toshakhana and Al-Qadir trust case and his bail Tuesday.
Imran Khan filed two bail applications in the court taking the plea bail be approved till the final decision of the case.
AC had rejected bail after arrest plea in both the cases.

Chairman NAB, DG NAB and investigation officer have been made respondents in the petition.

Earlier the court during the hearing had declared petitions of PTI founder against jail trial in 190 million pounds case and Toshakhana reference maintainable.

IHC had issued notices to respondents on the petitions filed by PTI founder against his jail trial in NAB cases.

Justice Miangul Hassan Aurangzeb and Justice Arbab Muhammad Tahir had issued notice to interior secretary and sought reply from him.

The court had remarked case be fixed before available bench.

Earlier in its January 17 hearing IHC had sent file to Chief Justice IHC for constitution of division bench on the appeals of PTI founder against jail trial in Toshakhana and Al-Qadir trust case
