Grandma’s Revenge
Three generations of the same Australian family were sitting around the dinner table.
Grandad was grumbling as usual.
“Back in my day, kids respected their elders.”
His son nodded.
“That’s true, Dad.”
Grandad pointed at his grandson.
“This one spends all day on his phone.”
The grandson shrugged.
“At least I know how to use technology.”
Grandad snorted.
“Technology! Last week I saw you ask your phone what day it was.”
The family laughed.
Not wanting to be left out, Grandma smiled sweetly and said,
“Well, speaking of technology, I finally learned how to use online banking.”
Everyone looked impressed.
“Good on you, Nan!” said the grandson.
Grandma nodded proudly.
“Yes. And I’ve already used it.”
“What did you buy?” asked her son.
“Nothing.”
“Then what did you do?”
Grandma took a sip of tea and said,
“Every time one of you was rude to me this year, I transferred five dollars from your future inheritance into my holiday fund.”
The room went completely silent.
Grandad nearly dropped his fork.
The grandson asked nervously,
“How much is in the holiday fund?”
Grandma grinned.
“Enough for a six-month cruise… and business class flights.”
“Six months?!” cried her son.
Grandma smiled.
“Yes. And if this conversation continues, I might be able to afford first class.” 😂🍷✈️
