One night, he had the most vivid dream of his life.

In the dream, he had passed away and arrived at the gates of Heaven. St. Peter greeted him with a huge smile.

“Welcome, Father Michael! You’ve earned a special reward.”

The gates swung open, and there stood Sister Angela—the young, beautiful nun from his church—wearing a dazzling white gown.

Father Michael gasped.

“Angela? What are you doing here?”

She smiled sweetly.

“Apparently, Father, we’re married in Heaven.”

Father Michael nearly fainted with joy.

The next thing he knew, they were living together in a magnificent heavenly mansion. They strolled through golden gardens, held hands by crystal rivers, and spent every day laughing together.

After what felt like months of bliss, Father Michael turned to an angel and asked, “Tell me honestly… what did I do to deserve such an incredible reward?”

The angel looked confused.

“Reward?”

“Yes,” said Father Michael. “Being married to Sister Angela!”

The angel burst out laughing.

“Father, this isn’t your reward…”

“It isn’t?”

“No.”

“Then what is it?”

The angel pointed at Sister Angela and said:

“You’re her punishment.“

At that exact moment, Father Michael woke up in a cold sweat.

He sat upright in bed, wiped his forehead, and whispered:

“Thank heavens… for one glorious moment, I thought I was in Heaven!” 😄
