Brady had just wrapped up a long, exhausting day out on the lake when he texted Lizzie:
“hey, how about dinner tonight? i smell like fish, but i look like a catch 😏”

Lizzie replied instantly,
“perfect. i’ll meet you at that fancy seafood restaurant downtown.”

An hour later, Brady walked in—still slightly damp, proudly carrying a cooler. Lizzie raised an eyebrow.
“Brady… please tell me you didn’t bring your work with you.”

He grinned. “Relax. I thought I’d impress you. Fresh fish. Doesn’t get better than that.”

The waiter approached, all smiles.
“Good evening! May I take your order?”

Before Lizzie could speak, Brady popped open the cooler and said,
“Actually, buddy… how much to cook these?”

The waiter blinked. “Sir, we don’t… prepare outside fish.”

Lizzie buried her face in her hands. “Brady…”

But Brady wasn’t done. He leaned closer to the waiter and whispered,
“Okay, forget the fish. What’s the cheapest thing on the menu? I already spent all my money on bait… and apparently, I’m still trying to catch something tonight.”

Lizzie slowly looked up, smirked, and said,
“Brady, you already caught something…”

He smiled, hopeful. “Yeah?”

She stood up, grabbed her purse, and winked—
“a lifetime lesson. call me when you upgrade from fishing line to pickup lines.” 🎣
