As she tiptoed in, she froze.

Under the blanket… she saw four legs instead of two.

Her eyes widened.

Without saying a word, she grabbed the baseball bat from beside the closet and started swinging like she was trying out for the national team.

WHACK!

THUD!

BAM!

After five minutes of furious bat action, breathing heavily and feeling satisfied that justice had been served, she walked into the kitchen to calm down with a glass of water.

There sat her husband, relaxed, sipping coffee and flipping through a magazine.

He looked up and smiled.

“Hey sweetheart… your parents came to surprise us tonight.”

He pointed toward the bedroom.

“I let them sleep in our bed.”

Then he added:

“By the way… your dad wanted to know why you never visit anymore.”
