A group of family friends in the UK were enjoying a sunny weekend barbecue in the garden.
The burgers were sizzling, children were playing football, and everyone was laughing over cups of tea.
As dessert was served, one friend proudly announced,
“My wife made this cake completely from scratch!”
Everyone applauded.
Another friend smiled and said,
“That’s impressive. My wife made the potato salad.”
Not wanting to be left out, Tom stood up proudly and declared,
“My wife made the entire barbecue possible!”
His wife looked at him with surprise.
“Aww… that’s sweet.”
Tom nodded.
“Of course. She hid the bathroom scales before everyone arrived.”
For a second, the garden went silent…
Then even his wife burst out laughing and said,
“Enjoy your cake, Tom… it might be your last homemade meal!” 😂
