Every Saturday, the Wilson family insisted on eating out.

The debates lasted longer than the meal itself.
Only Grandma Margaret refused every invitation.
“I’d rather eat at home,” she would say with a smile.
After months of persuasion, the family finally convinced her to come along.
At the restaurant, everyone ordered fancy dishes with impossible-to-pronounce names.
When the food arrived, Grandma quietly opened her handbag.
Out came a tiny salt shaker… then a small bottle of homemade pickle… and finally a folded napkin with two slices of homemade bread.
The whole table stared in disbelief.
Her grandson whispered,
“Grandma… why did you bring your own food to a restaurant?”
Grandma smiled, spread a little butter on her homemade bread, and said,
