I’m absolutely furious! My husband and son went to pick out a dog, and instead of coming back with a nice poodle or a Yorkshire Terrier, they brought home some RESCUE MUTT because my son felt sorry for it!
I can’t even imagine walking this dog down the street, let alone inviting guests over. What am I supposed to say when people ask what breed she is? It’s embarrassing!
My son is now crying and saying he won’t let her go, but I can’t keep this dog in my house. I’m planning to take her back to the shelter as soon as he falls asleep. The problem is, if he finds out it was me, he’ll never forgive me.
Any ideas on how to get rid of the dog without my son knowing it was me? I need a smart plan here
My first comment is, what is the problem with a Rescue? I have had pedigreed dogs, and presently have a rescue. She could have papers, but I was not the least bit interested. When I lost my pedigreed pet, after being sick only 3 days, I felt thost papers had nothing to do this the love and faithfulness she had given me. Nor should you. In fact, I think a bit of snobbishness is showing my friend. If you so desire a Yorkie, a Poodle or a toy dog of some sorts, go get one yourself. Two dogs in a house hold is not unheard of. But you better not mistreat the Rescue. Your son sounds like he has more empathy than you.
