Every afternoon at the senior center, a group of elderly ladies gathered for tea and conversation.
Among them was 82-year-old Martha, who never missed an opportunity to remind everyone that she had been a famous fashion model in her youth.
“I once walked runways in New York, Paris, and Milan,” Martha would say proudly.
The other ladies would roll their eyes.
One day Martha arrived wearing oversized sunglasses, a fancy scarf, and a bright red coat.
“Back in my modeling days,” she announced, “photographers followed me everywhere.”
The ladies chuckled.
“Oh really?” asked Betty.
“Absolutely,” Martha replied. “Men couldn’t take their eyes off me.”
The group burst into laughter.
Then Doris smiled and said,
“Martha, we don’t doubt it.”
Martha beamed.
“See? Finally someone believes me!”
Doris nodded and replied:
“Of course we believe you… because at our age, anyone still following us is probably a doctor checking our blood pressure!” 🤣👩⚕️💊
