A young priest notices a nun looking unusually distracted during evening prayers.
Afterward, he gently asks,
“ Sister, is something troubling your spirit?”
She sighs, “Father… I’ve been fasting all day… and I’m feeling a different kind of hunger.”
The priest nods thoughtfully, trying to stay composed.
“Ah… spiritual hunger can be powerful.”
She leans closer and whispers,
“Let’s just say… bread and water won’t fix this one.”
The priest clears his throat, clearly nervous now.
“Well… perhaps we should both pray for strength.”
She smiles and replies,
“Oh, I am praying, Father…”
He asks, “For what?”
She grins,
“For self-control… because mine just called in sick.” 😳😂
