A priest and a nun were on a long road trip when their car broke down. With no help in sight, they found a tiny roadside motel—only one room left.
The priest said, “Sister, you take the bed. I’ll sleep on the chair.”
Later that night, the nun whispered, “Father… this blanket is so thin…”
The priest, half asleep, said, “It’s okay, Sister. Offer it up.”
A few minutes later: “Father… I’m still freezing…”
Now wide awake, the priest sighed, got up, handed her his coat, and said, “Here… take this.”
The nun smiled softly and said, “Father… you’re very kind tonight…”
The priest paused, looked at her, then quickly turned off the light and said,
“Kind, yes… stupid, no. Goodnight.” 😄
