My wife had another car mishap today.
When the police showed up, she was practically shaking with frustration. Arms flailing, she pointed at the other driver’s car.
“He was on his phone!” she shouted. “And to top it off—he was just sitting there, drinking a beer!”
The officer raised an eyebrow and walked over to inspect the situation.
After a few minutes, he came back, barely holding back a smirk.
“Ma’am,” he said gently, “you hit a parked car.”
Her face went pale. “What?”
He nodded. “Yes. The man was in his driveway… in his own car… parked.”
She opened her mouth to argue, then closed it slowly.
We drove home in silence. But I swear I heard the beer guy laughing as we pulled away.
