Brady stood at the counter, nervously chopping vegetables like he was auditioning for a cooking show. Lizzie leaned against the fridge, watching him with a playful smirk.
“Wow,” she said, crossing her arms, “you’re really putting effort into dinner tonight.”
Brady grinned. “Of course. I figured if I impress you in the kitchen… I might get a good review later.”
Lizzie raised an eyebrow. “Oh? So this is a two-course plan?”
Brady chuckled. “More like a full-course experience.”
She walked over, dipped her finger into the sauce, tasted it… then slowly leaned closer.
“Well,” she whispered, “if this tastes as good as it smells… we might skip dessert.”
Brady smirked, lowering the knife. “Good. Because dessert was never on the table…”
Lizzie smiled, grabbing his collar gently.
“It is now.”😂
