After a few seconds of what appeared to be serious and intelligent thinking, she carefully examined the dipstick in her hand, turning it around as if trying to solve a complicated mechanical mystery. Finally, she walked over to the attendant with a concerned look on her face.
“Excuse me,” she said politely, “but can I buy a longer dipstick?”
The attendant looked puzzled. “Sure, ma’am, of course. But why do you need a longer one?”
She held up the dipstick and replied with complete confidence, “Because this one isn’t long enough to reach the oil.”

**High Prices Of Gas**
Two people walk into a gas station.
The first one looks at the price board, shakes his head, and says, “These prices are awful. They just keep getting higher and higher!”
The second person smiles and replies, “It doesn’t affect me at all. I’ve found a way around it.”
“Really? How?” the first person asks.
The second person proudly answers, “I always put in just $20 worth.”
The first person stares at him for a moment, realizing that the trick doesn’t actually solve the problem at all—it only avoids looking at the final number on the pump.

Two gas company servicemen, a senior training supervisor and a young trainee, were out checking meters in a quiet suburban neighbourhood.
They parked their truck at the end of the alley and worked their way from one house to the next, carefully inspecting each gas meter. The senior supervisor used the opportunity to teach the young trainee everything he knew about the job, explaining how to spot problems and handle difficult situations.
At the last house, a woman standing at her kitchen window watched the two men as they checked her gas meter. She noticed how seriously they worked and how quickly they moved from one task to another.
After finishing the meter check, the senior supervisor turned to his younger co-worker with a confident grin.
“I’ll bet I can beat you back to the truck,” he said. “It’s time to prove that experience and age can still beat youth and speed.”
The young trainee laughed. “You’re on!”
The two men took off running down the alley as fast as they could. The older supervisor pushed himself harder than the trainee expected, determined to prove his point.
But as they came running toward the truck, they suddenly noticed someone else running behind them.
It was the woman from the last house, huffing and puffing as she tried to keep up.
The two men stopped and looked at her in confusion.
“Ma’am, is everything all right?” the trainee asked.
The woman bent over, struggling to catch her breath. Finally, she managed to say, “When I saw two men from the gas company running away from my house as fast as you two were, I figured I’d better run too!”

Two best friends, Emma and Catherine, met each other at a coffee shop, but Emma arrived much later than expected.
Catherine looked at her watch and asked, “What happened? I thought you were only going to be a few minutes late.”
Emma sighed and explained, “You won’t believe what happened. I bought a Volkswagen Beetle last week, and today it broke down right in the middle of the road.”
“That’s terrible,” Catherine replied.
“It gets worse,” Emma continued. “I opened the hood to see what was wrong, and to my complete shock, there was no engine under there! The engine must have fallen out somewhere along the way!”
Catherine listened calmly and smiled.
“Oh, really? Don’t worry at all.”
Emma looked relieved. “You know how to fix it?”
“Not exactly,” Catherine said. “But I also own a Volkswagen Beetle, and I have a spare engine in the trunk of my car. You can have it.”
Emma stared at her friend in disbelief, wondering how anyone could possibly carry a spare car engine around as casually as a handbag.
Then again, with friends like Catherine, maybe nothing was impossible.
