Grandpa Delivered One Savage Punchline After Another at Breakfast

One Saturday morning, little Brady walked into the kitchen and found his grandfather cooking the biggest breakfast he had ever seen — stacks of pancakes, crispy bacon, eggs, sausages, buttered toast, hash browns, and even apple pie sitting on the counter.

Brady’s eyes nearly popped out.

“Grandpa!” he shouted. “Mom says eating like that is dangerous!”

Grandpa calmly poured syrup over the pancakes and replied,
“Boy, when you get to my age, you stop worrying about danger and start worrying about flavor.”

Brady sat down and watched him take a huge bite.

“But didn’t the doctor tell you to eat healthy?” he asked.

Grandpa nodded proudly.
“Oh yes. Doctor gave me a strict diet.”

Brady looked relieved.
“So… what happened?”

Grandpa leaned closer and whispered,
“I got a second opinion from my stomach.”

Brady burst out laughing. But then he noticed Grandma standing in the doorway with her arms crossed.

“Don’t encourage him,” Grandma snapped. “Yesterday he told the doctor he exercises every day!”

Brady looked confused.
“You exercise, Grandpa?”

Grandpa grinned.
“Of course I do.”

“What kind?”

Grandpa pointed at the recliner in the living room.

“I do stretches every time the TV remote falls on the floor.”

Grandma rolled her eyes.
“That man hasn’t jogged in 30 years.”

Grandpa shrugged.
“And yet here I am… undefeated.”

Brady laughed so hard milk came out of his nose.

Then Grandpa took another giant bite of pie and said proudly,

“Listen carefully, kid… people spend their whole lives eating salad just to die anyway.”

Brady asked,
“So what’s your secret to living this long?”

Grandpa smiled, patted his belly, and delivered the punchline:

“Simple… whenever life gives me lemons, I trade them for bacon.”
