Three Hilarious Classroom Moments That Prove Teachers Need Endless Patience

Did you hear about the Texas teacher who was helping one of her kindergarten students put on his cowboy boots? He had asked for help, and she quickly understood why. The little boots seemed determined to win the battle. Even with her pulling and him pushing with all his tiny strength, the boots refused to cooperate.

By the time they finally managed to squeeze the second boot on, the teacher was exhausted and had worked up quite a sweat. She was just about ready to celebrate when the little boy looked down and innocently said, “Teacher, they’re on the wrong feet.”

She looked down, and sure enough, he was absolutely right. Somehow, after all that effort, the boots were facing the wrong direction. Getting them off was almost as difficult as getting them on. She took a deep breath, reminding herself that patience was part of being a teacher.

She managed to keep her composure as they worked together to remove the stubborn boots and put them back on—this time on the correct feet. She finally smiled, thinking the hardest part was over.

Then the little boy looked up and casually announced, “These aren’t my boots.”

The teacher froze for a moment. She bit her tongue so hard she nearly hurt herself rather than getting down on his level and shouting, “Why didn’t you tell me that before?”

Once again, she wrestled with the boots, carefully pulling them off his little feet while trying to maintain the patience and kindness expected from a kindergarten teacher.

Just when she thought she had survived the entire ordeal, the little boy added, “They’re my brother’s boots. My mom made me wear ’em.”

At that moment, she wasn’t sure whether she wanted to laugh, cry, or simply sit down and question every decision that had led her to that classroom. But she gathered whatever strength and courage she had left and struggled once more to get the boots back onto his feet.

Finally, she helped him put on his coat and thought the adventure was coming to an end. Before sending him on his way, she asked, “Now, where are your mittens?”

The little boy proudly replied, “I stuffed ’em in the toes of my boots.”

They say patience is a virtue… but that teacher was probably counting down the days until retirement.

A science teacher once asked her students, “Children, if you could own one valuable material in the world, what would it be?”

One girl quickly raised her hand and said, “I would choose gold. It’s worth a lot of money, and I could buy myself a Corvette.”

A boy answered next, “I would want platinum because it’s worth even more than gold, and I could buy a Porsche.”

The teacher smiled and then turned to Little Johnny. “What about you, Johnny? What material would you want?”

Without hesitation, Johnny replied, “I would want silicone.”

The teacher looked puzzled. “Why would you want silicone?”

Johnny innocently explained, “Because my mom got some, and there’s always a Porsche or Corvette sitting in our driveway.”

The classroom went silent for a moment as the teacher tried to decide whether to laugh, explain the situation, or simply move on to the next question.

Early one morning, a mother walked into her son’s bedroom to wake him up.

“Wake up, son. It’s time to go to school!”

The son groaned, pulled the blanket over his head, and replied, “But why, Mom? I don’t want to go!”

The mother sighed and asked, “Give me two reasons why you don’t want to go.”

The son answered, “Because the kids hate me, and the teachers hate me too!”

The mother shook her head and said, “Oh, that’s no reason not to go to school. Come on now, get ready!”

The son wasn’t convinced.

“Okay then,” he said. “Give me two reasons why I should go to school.”

The mother smiled and replied, “Well, for one, you’re 52 years old. And for another, you’re the principal!”

The son suddenly had no argument left. Some mornings, even the person in charge needs a little motivation to get out of bed.
