A public bus driver had a reputation that everyone in town knew about.
He didn’t just use the horn…
He lived on it.
HOOONK! when leaving the bus stop.
HOOONK! at every traffic light.
HOOONK! while overtaking bicycles.
HOOONK! at stray dogs.
HOOONK! at pigeons.
He even honked while driving down an empty road at six in the morning.
One day, after listening to nearly an hour of nonstop honking, an exhausted passenger finally walked up to the driver and said,
“Sir, there’s nobody in front of us. The road is completely empty. Why do you keep blowing the horn every ten seconds?”
The driver chuckled without taking his hand off the horn.
“Son,” he said, “after twenty years on this route, I’ve learned something important.”
The passenger leaned in, expecting some deep driving wisdom.
The driver grinned and said,
“The horn isn’t for the traffic… it’s to keep my passengers awake. Otherwise, they’ll all miss their stops—and then blame me for taking them too far!” 😂🚌
