A postman named Charlie had delivered mail in the same neighborhood for over 20 years.
One evening, he came home looking exhausted.
His wife asked, “Rough day?”
Charlie sighed. “You have no idea. Dogs chased me, it rained all afternoon, and I walked nearly ten miles.”
His wife smiled and said, “Well, at least everyone in town knows and likes you.”
Charlie nodded proudly. “That’s true.”
The next morning, Charlie was sorting letters when he noticed an envelope addressed simply:
“To the Most Trusted Man in Town.”
Curious, he opened it.
Inside was a note that read:
“Dear Charlie, thank you for always delivering everyone’s important messages safely. You’re truly a man we can trust.”
Charlie beamed and rushed home to show his wife.
She read the note, smiled, and said,
“That’s wonderful, dear.”
Charlie puffed out his chest.
“See? The whole town trusts me!”
His wife laughed and replied:
“Of course they do—you’re the only man in town who knows everyone’s business and still manages not to tell anybody!” 😂📬🤣
