An Arizona Highway Patrol officer spots a Harley roaring down the highway well above the speed limit and pulls the rider over.
The biker is an old-timer with a long gray beard, leather vest, and a grin that says he’s seen it all.
The officer walks up and asks,
“Sir, what’s your name?”
“Fred.”
“Fred… what?”
“Just Fred.”
The officer raises an eyebrow.
“Just Fred? Everybody has a last name.”
“Not me anymore,” the old biker replies.
The officer is in a surprisingly good mood. Instead of writing a ticket, he decides to hear the story.
“Alright, Fred. How does a man lose his last name?”
The old biker sighs and says,
“Well, son, it’s a long road. Buckle up.”
“I was born Fred Johnson. Smart kid. Straight A’s. Went to college, then medical school. After years of hard work, I became a doctor.
So I was Fred Johnson, M.D.“
“After a while, medicine got boring. I wanted a new challenge. So I went back to school, studied dentistry, and earned another degree.
Now I was Fred Johnson, M.D., D.D.S.“
The officer nods.
Fred continues.
“Life was great… until I made one very bad decision.
I started fooling around with my dental assistant.
A few weeks later, she gave me VD.
So now I was Fred Johnson, M.D., D.D.S., with VD.“
The officer starts chuckling.
“Then the Dental Board found out about the scandal and took away my D.D.S.
Now I was Fred Johnson, M.D., with VD.“
“A little later, the Medical Board heard about it too. They took away my M.D.
Now I was just Fred Johnson… with VD.“
By now the officer is struggling not to laugh.
Fred leans closer and says,
“But the worst part was still coming…”
“The VD eventually took away my Johnson…”
He pauses dramatically.
Then shrugs.
“And that’s how I ended up being… Just Fred.”
The officer stood there in stunned silence for three seconds…
Then laughed so hard he forgot all about the speeding ticket and waved Fred back onto the highway.
As Fred fired up the Harley and rode away, the officer yelled:
“Drive safe, Fred!”
Fred shouted back:
“Trust me, son… these days that’s the ONLY thing I can still drive!” 🤣🏍️💨
