The Bragging, The Bridge, And The Unexpected Reward

Three women were sitting around together, enjoying a conversation that slowly turned into a competition about whose child had achieved the most in life. Each woman waited eagerly for her chance to impress the others.

The first one proudly said, “You know, my son graduated first in his class from Oxford. He’s now a doctor, making $250,000 a year in Chicago. Everyone in the family is so proud of him.”

The second woman smiled confidently and said, “That’s wonderful, but my son graduated first in his class from Cambridge. He’s now a successful lawyer, making half a million dollars a year, and he lives in Los Angeles. He has worked very hard to build his career.”

The last woman sat quietly for a moment before speaking. “Well, my son was never very good at school. He didn’t go to university, and his grades were nothing special. But today, he makes one million pounds a year in London working as a sports repairman.”

The other two women looked surprised. They exchanged confused glances before asking, “A sports repairman? What exactly does he repair?”

The woman smiled proudly and replied, “He fixes things… you know, hockey games, football games, snooker games…”

The other women stared at her in silence, trying to understand whether she was joking or whether she truly believed what she had just said.

One day, three men were hiking through a remote mountain area when they unexpectedly came across a large, raging, and violent river. The water rushed past them with terrifying speed, and there was no obvious way to reach the other side.

They needed to continue their journey, but the river stood between them and their destination. They had no bridge, no boat, and no idea how they could cross safely.

The first man looked at the dangerous water and prayed to God, saying, “Please God, give me the strength to cross this river.”

Suddenly, he felt a powerful change come over him. God gave him huge arms, strong legs, and incredible physical strength. The man jumped into the river and fought against the current. After nearly drowning several times and struggling for almost two hours, he finally reached the other side.

The second man watched carefully and thought he could find a better solution. He prayed, “Please God, give me the strength and the tools to cross this river.”

In an instant, God gave him a rowboat. The man climbed inside and began rowing across the river. The journey was still dangerous, and he nearly capsized several times as the waves pushed him around, but after about an hour of exhausting effort, he finally made it across.

The third man had watched everything. He saw how the first man received strength and how the second man received tools. Wanting an easier way, he prayed, “Please God, give me the strength, the tools, and the intelligence to cross this river.”

Suddenly, there was a flash of light.

And poof!

God turned him into a woman.

She looked at the map carefully, studied the river’s path, walked upstream a couple hundred yards, and calmly crossed the river using a perfectly safe bridge.

The two men on the other side looked at each other in disbelief, realizing that sometimes the greatest solution was not more strength or more tools, but simply knowing how to think differently.

Three men were standing outside the gates of Heaven, waiting to enter. An angel stood before them and said, “Your reward and your way across the bridge into Heaven will be decided based on the length of time you were with your last partner and how faithful you were during that relationship.”

The first man stepped forward and said, “I was married for five years, but I cheated on my wife three times.”

The angel looked disappointed and gave him an old model pickup truck to cross the heavenly bridge.

The second man stepped forward and said, “I was married for eleven years, and I cheated only once.”

The angel nodded and gave him a Mercedes. The man smiled proudly as he drove away.

Finally, the third man approached. He said, “I was married for twenty years, and I never cheated once. We loved each other with all our hearts, and I remained faithful until the very end.”

The angel was deeply impressed. “A man with such loyalty deserves the very best.”

With that, the angel granted him a gold edition Lamborghini. The man was thrilled and drove across the bridge, easily passing the other two men.

Hours later, the first two men caught up with him at a small diner along the heavenly road. They expected to see him celebrating his reward, but instead, they found him sitting alone at a table, crying uncontrollably and whispering to himself.

One of the men walked over and said, “I know we’re all dead, but things could be much worse. You received the greatest reward of all. Why are you so upset?”

The man slowly looked up, tears filling his eyes, and said, “Don’t be upset? Thirty minutes ago, I passed my wife… and she was riding a skateboard.”

The two men froze.

They suddenly realized that the reward waiting for them was not always about what they received, but about what someone else had earned.

And somewhere ahead on the endless road to Heaven, a faithful woman was probably enjoying the easiest ride of them all.
