An 85-year-old nun lay on her deathbed, quietly staring at the ceiling with a deep sigh.
A young priest sat beside her and gently asked,
“Is everything alright, Sister? You seem troubled.”
She whispered, “Father… I’ve lived a long, devoted life… but I have one regret.”
The priest leaned closer. “What is it, my child?”
She closed her eyes and said softly,
“I sometimes wonder… what it would have been like… to be married.”
The priest smiled kindly. “It’s natural to be curious. But you chose a higher calling.”
She nodded slowly… then suddenly opened her eyes and asked,
“Father… be honest… was it really worth missing out on… or just a lifelong subscription to arguments and snoring?”
The priest paused… then sighed,
“Honestly, Sister… you didn’t miss marriage…”
“…you skipped the sequel.” 😏😂
