A young, ambitious actor finally landed his first big film opposite a legendary actress whose glory days were… generously behind her.

On the first day of shooting, the director pulled him aside and said, “Listen, she’s a diva, but she can still deliver magic. Just follow her lead.”

Nervous but excited, the actor walked up to her trailer to introduce himself. She opened the door slowly, wearing oversized sunglasses and a silk robe.

He smiled politely, “Ma’am, it’s an honor to work with you. I’ve admired your work since I was a kid.”

She lowered her glasses, smirked, and said, “Sweetheart, by the time you were a kid… I had already retired twice.”

Trying to stay charming, he replied, “Well, I’m just starting out. I hope I can learn a lot from you.”

She stepped closer, looked him up and down, and whispered,
“Oh, you will… I’ve revived more careers than your agent ever will.”

Later that day, they rehearsed a romantic scene. The young actor was sweating, missing cues, clearly overwhelmed.

The director yelled, “Cut! What’s wrong with you?”

The actor stammered, “Sir… I’m trying to act my age.”

The actress chuckled and said,
“Darling… in this industry, you don’t act your age—
