Priscilla Pointer, ‘Dallas’ Actress Dead At 100

Priscilla Pointer — who starred in several films alongside her real-life daughter, actress Amy Irving — has died at the age of 100.

The actress, who was known for her role in “Dallas” and playing Amy’s on-screen mom in “Carrie,” passed away on Monday at an assisted living facility in Ridgefield, Connecticut.

Amy’s brother, director David Irving, confirmed the details to The Hollywood Reporter on Tuesday, April 29.

Amy — who was Steven Spielberg’s first wife — addressed her mom’s death on social media, revealing she died in her sleep.

Sharing several photos of Pointer over the years, the “Yentl” actress wrote, “Priscilla Pointer, acclaimed stage television and film actress, and mother of David, Katie, and Amy Irving, died peacefully in her sleep at the age of 100 hopefully to run off with her 2 adoring husbands and her many dogs.”

Amy ended her tribute by saying, “She most definitely will be missed.”

The Post reached out to Pointer’s rep for comment.

Pointer starred as Rebecca Barnes Wentworth, the mom of Victoria Principal’s character, Pamela Barnes Ewing, on the legendary ’80s soap opera “Dallas.”

Her time on the show ended in 1983 during the sixth season when the family jet her character was riding on collided with another plane while in the air.

Pointer had a decorative Hollywood career, most notably playing the mother of several acting greats.

Besides portraying Mrs. Snell in the Brian De Palma-directed classic 1976 horror “Carrie,” she starred as Diane Keaton‘s mom in “Looking for Mr. Goodbar” (1977), Sean Penn’s mother in “The Falcon and the Snowman” (1985) and Kyle MacLachlan’s parent in “Blue Velvet” (1986).
