Patrick Houston Jr., the son of rapper Project Pat, was tragically killed in a shooting on Friday, January 10, according to the Memphis Police Department. He was 22 years old.
Police confirmed that Houston Jr. was found deceased at the scene near Charjean Park, in the area of Ketchum Road and Long Street in Memphis, Tennessee, shortly after 1:15 p.m. He had suffered a fatal gunshot wound. Details surrounding the incident remain limited, and no further information has been released.
A visitation and celebration of life for Houston Jr. is set for Saturday, January 25, at the M.J. Edwards Funeral Home Stage Road Chapel in Memphis, with a committal service to follow at Memphis Memory Gardens.
Project Pat, whose real name is Patrick Earl Houston, is a 51-year-old rapper and the older brother of Juicy J, co-founder of the iconic rap group Three 6 Mafia.
