Reality Star and Influencer Rolling Ray, Known for ‘Purr’ Catchphrase, Dies at 28
Rolling Ray, the outspoken social media sensation and reality TV personality celebrated for his viral catchphrases and unapologetic authenticity, has died at the age of 28.
The Zeus Network confirmed his passing in a heartfelt tribute shared Thursday, Sept. 4. His real name was Raymond Harper, and he was a Washington, D.C. native. The news was also reported by TMZ and FOX 5 DC. His cause of death has not been publicly disclosed.
According to reports, Rolling Ray’s mother, Sazola Nay, first announced the news on Facebook. Soon after, Zeus Network honored his legacy in a statement that read:
“You were unapologetically and authentically your truest self. From your ZEUS family, we love, thank, and will miss you always. Sending prayers and condolences to his loved ones.”
Rolling Ray rose to prominence through his viral online moments and larger-than-life personality. He later starred in and executive produced Zeus Network’s original dating competition series, Bobby I Love You, Purr, where he guided reality star Bobby Lytes in his search for love.
