Nicole Saunders was raised by her father, Austin, after her mother left for abroad when Nicole was only five. Austin poured his heart into raising his daughter, giving her the best of everything, and never saying no to her requests.

A Father’s Judgment

Nicole entered, trying to mask her unease. But Austin’s stern expression told her this was not going to be another instance where he indulged her.

“Nicole,” he said firmly, “from tomorrow, you will no longer be my daughter lounging in suites. You will work here as a maid—for a full month.”

She froze. “Dad, you can’t be serious!”

“I’m very serious. Either take this job and learn what hard work means, or consider your credit cards canceled and your allowance stopped.”

With no way out, Nicole reluctantly agreed.

Nicole resolved to finish her maid duties, continue working part-time, and re-enroll in college. She also begged her father to reward Rose with a raise.
