Neill became a global star with Steven Spielberg’s 1993 classic Jurassic Park, where his performance as the intelligent and courageous paleontologist Dr. Alan Grant captivated audiences worldwide. He later reprised the iconic role in Jurassic Park III (2001) and Jurassic World Dominion (2022), cementing his place as one of the franchise’s most beloved characters.
Born in Northern Ireland and raised in New Zealand, Sam Neill enjoyed a remarkable acting career spanning more than five decades. Beyond Jurassic Park, he earned widespread acclaim for his performances in The Piano, The Hunt for Red October, Dead Calm, Event Horizon, The Tudors, and Peaky Blinders.
