A carpenter was called by a charming widow to fix a squeaky bed in her bedroom.
He inspected it carefully, tightened a few bolts, and said, “Well… the frame is strong, but the movement suggests… a lot of stress testing.”
The widow smiled and said, “Oh, I do believe in making sure things are… well used.”
The carpenter grinned, grabbed his toolbox, and replied,
“Ma’am, for this kind of wear and tear… I might need to stay overnight for observation.”
She raised an eyebrow. “And what exactly will you be observing?”
He winked.
“Whether the problem is the furniture… or just how enthusiastically it’s being used.” 😄
