Prince Harry and Prince William were ever the best of brothers. They grew up together and supported each other through a horrible tragedy, but what promised to be two power couples to help bring the Royal Family into a new era turned into a bitter feud of\u00a0historical<\/strong>\u00a0proportions instead.<\/strong><\/p>\n

There will come a time when William is crowned king, and previous reports have claimed that he might not invite his own brother to the coronation. As fate would have it, sending an invite could be a waste of time, as a new rumor states that Harry might opt to skip the grand day anyway.<\/p>\n

Today, the reality is a different story. After Harry\u2019s royal exit and the many allegations lodged by he and Meghan Markle against his brother and other Royal Family members, he and William are far from friends. If reports are to be believed, the duo have not spoken to each other in more than two years.<\/p>\n

Today, reconciliation looks far, far away indeed.<\/p>\n

Harry has hardly been shy about letting the world know his feelings towards the royals, both in his bombshell book,\u00a0Spare,\u00a0<\/em>and in a number of interviews. He appeared in an extraordinary BBC interview not long ago, claiming that his father, King Charles, refuses to speak to him. The estranged prince said he would \u201clove reconciliation\u201d with his family.<\/p>\n

Royal Family feels \u201cbetrayed\u201d by Prince Harry<\/h2>\n

\u201cThere have been so many disagreements, differences, between me and some of my family,\u201d Harry said, adding that \u201csome members\u201d of his family will \u201cnever forgive him\u201d for what he\u2019s done, including \u201cwriting a book.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Royal Family has not made a single statement about Harry\u2019s many comments or allegations. A source told\u00a0Us Weekly<\/a>\u00a0earlier in May that the royals feel \u201churt and betrayed\u201d by the prince. Prince William, it\u2019s claimed, has had the most visceral reaction, being left \u201cmore hurt than anything else.\u201d<\/p>\n

The source said: \u201cEverything changed when Meghan came into the fold, [But] she\u2019s not blamed for everything, and Harry is a part of it.\u201d<\/p>\n

Still, the source added, reconciliation could be on the table in the future. Prince William and\u00a0Kate Middleton<\/a>\u00a0\u201ccan forgive Harry because he\u2019s family,\u201d but they \u201cdon\u2019t want to see Meghan again.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThe first step is to stop talking to the public about private matters,\u201d the insider concluded. \u201cThey don\u2019t see a path forward until Harry can stay quiet.\u201d<\/p>\n

Prince Harry \u2018regret\u2019 writing about William in his book<\/h2>\n

When Kate Middleton received her cancer diagnosis last year, Harry and\u00a0Meghan<\/a>\u00a0were said to have reached out to her and lent support. At the same time, reports suggested that Harry regretted writing nasty things about his sister-in-law in\u00a0Spare<\/em>. In January, a source speaking to the\u00a0Mirror<\/a>\u00a0suggested that Harry might feel the same about his brother.<\/p>\n

\u201cAlthough Harry is glad he finally got his say on everything that went on with\u00a0Spare<\/em>, there is part of him that has some regrets over it all and the way it was handled,\u201d the source said.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe was still very angry about how he was treated by his family and wanted them to know and felt his book was the only way they\u2019d listen. But looking back, he\u2019s not sure it was handled in the right way and he has faced a lot of criticism for it and hurt his family a lot,\u201d they added.<\/p>\n

Sadly, Harry\u2019s recent BBC interview could have been the final nail in the coffin. A source told\u00a0PageSix<\/a>\u00a0that they \u201cdon\u2019t think there\u2019s [any] coming back from that,\u201d and that Harry appears not to have learned his lesson at all.<\/p>\n

When\u00a0King Charles<\/a>\u00a0dies, Prince William will ascend the throne on the day of his own coronation. Sadly, it appears he has no plans to invite his brother to be there for his big day.<\/p>\n

While the Prince of Wales has been rumored to want his coronation to \u201clook and feel different,\u201d\u00a0a friend of William and Harry told\u00a0The Times<\/a>\u00a0in August last year\u00a0that William could exclude his brother from the event and not invite him. The friend claimed that the brothers last spoke almost two years ago. \u201cThey are estranged, which is dreadfully sad,\u201d the source added.<\/p>\n

Harry could skip attending William\u2019s coronation, source claims<\/h2>\n

Of course, William is technically well within his rights to exclude Harry from his coronation. Still, royal expert and author Christopher Andersen told\u00a0Fox<\/a>\u00a0he is \u201cconvinced\u201d that the Duke will be there.<\/p>\n

\u201cDespite all the bad blood between the brothers, I\u2019m convinced that, when the time does come, William will not be foolish enough to exclude his only sibling, now fifth in line to the throne, from his coronation,\u201d Andersen said.<\/p>\n

\u201cThings probably have never been worse between the brothers than they are now. William and Charles have pretty much made the joint decision to effectively cut Harry out of their lives, at least for the time being. There is no sign of a reconciliation on the horizon, and everyone involved seems to have pretty much come to terms with that.\u201d<\/p>\n

Harry returned to the UK for his father\u2019s coronation, though his relationship with his family was icy to say the least. However, if William invites Harry to his coronation, Harry might not even want to go, according to a PageSix source.<\/p>\n

Speaking to the news outlet, royal expert Hugo Vickers said that William \u201ctheoretically\u201d should invite his younger brother to his coronation.<\/p>\n

\u201cWilliam won\u2019t strip them of their titles\u201d<\/h2>\n

\u201cBut quite frankly he can do what he likes.\u00a0It is not set in stone,\u201d Vickers told\u00a0Page Six<\/a>. \u201cThe Duke of Windsor was not invited to [his niece Queen Elizabeth\u2019s] coronation in 1953.\u00a0\u00a0There was a lot of discussion about it.\u201d<\/p>\n

There have been rumors about William\u2019s plans to strip Harry and Meghan of their HRH titles when he takes the throne. According to Hugo Vickers, that won\u2019t happen.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe know that William is unforgiving anyway,\u201d Vickers said. \u201cBut \u2026 he won\u2019t strip Harry and Meghan of their titles, it appears vindictive.\u201d<\/p>\n

The source agreed: \u201cWilliam won\u2019t strip them of their titles because they are irrelevant and meaningless at this point. No one thinks [Harry and Meghan] are royal anyway!\u201d<\/p>\n
