Donald and Melania Trump have been married for 20 years. They welcomed their son Barron in 2006, and while Donald took care of the real estate empire, his wife was responsible for their son\u2019s upbringing. Barron lived a life of luxury at Trump Tower, his mother continues to put her 19-year-old son before everything else.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Donald Trump<\/a>\u00a0has five children, but there could have been more.\u00a0Melania<\/a> revealed that Donald wanted to have more children, though there was one main reason why that didn\u2019t happen.<\/p>\n

When Melania Trump met Donald, he already had four children. They tied the knot in 2005, and not long after welcomed their first child,\u00a0Barron<\/a>. Melania was a first-time mother, and her son sure lived an extraordinary life.<\/p>\n

Melania has made it her life\u2019s mission to protect her son from scrutiny and the media. While he has been kept out of the spotlight for most of his life, that was not the case the day he was born.<\/p>\n

As reported by several newspapers, within 20 minutes of Barron\u2019s birth, Trump called MSNBC\u2019s long-running radio show\u00a0\u201cImus in the Morning,\u201d hosted by Don Imus, to tell the great news. At the same time, a statement on Melania\u2019s website stated that Barron weighed 8 1\/2 pounds and was 21 inches long.<\/p>\n

\u201cEveryone\u2019s perfect,\u201d Donald, then 59, told Imus. \u201cI continue to stay young, right? I produce children; I stay young.\u201d<\/p>\n

Melania Trump decided not to hire a nanny when Barron was young<\/h2>\n

The same day, Trump called\u00a0Live with Regis and Kelly. Two days earlier, Regis and his wife, Joy, had visited Trump at his Mar-a-Lago estate. Philbin didn\u2019t know at the time, but Trump soon after reunited with Melania in New York to be there for the birth of Barron.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen I left you, I had no news of this at all,\u201d Trump told Philbin, adding that Barron was over a week early.<\/p>\n

It is no shock that Donald\u2019s net worth is truly staggering, and as a result, Barron grew up in a world of luxury. Speaking with Parenting, Melania revealed that Barron loved planes and helicopters as a child. She always made sure to cook his breakfast and lunch. Even though they had a luxurious lifestyle, they didn\u2019t have a traditional nanny.<\/p>\n

\u201cBarron is 9 years old. He needs somebody as a parent there, so I am with him all the time,\u201d Melania said in a 2015\u00a0People<\/a>\u00a0interview. \u201cAs you know my husband is traveling all the time.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWe keep it down to a minimum,\u201d the now-First Lady added. \u201cIf you have too much help, you don\u2019t get to know your children.\u201d<\/p>\n

Melania revealed that Barron was into creating things as a young boy, and his mother supported that. The youngster even got to draw on the walls.<\/p>\n

\u201cIn his space, the d\u00e9cor style of the rest of our home is mixed with what he is into: planes and helicopters,\u201d Melania told Parenting, as quoted by\u00a0Metro<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe draws on the walls in his playroom\u201d<\/h2>\n

\u201cWe let him be creative; let his imagination fly and do whatever he wants. Whatever he wants to do with his own room later on, he can do it. Whatever he wants to do with his own room he can do it. He draws on the walls, we can paint it over.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen he was smaller, he started drawing on the walls,\u201d she added. \u201cHis imagination is growing and important. He draws on the walls in his playroom, we can paint it over. One day he was playing bakery and he wrote \u2018Barron\u2019s Bakery\u2019 on the wall with crayons. He is very creative, if you say to a child \u2018no, no, no,\u2019 where does the creativity go?\u201d<\/p>\n

Growing up, Melania was the one closest to Barron. Donald focused his attention on his real estate empire, telling\u00a0Larry King<\/a>\u00a0in 2005 that he was a relatively hands-off parent. Donald stated that he wasn\u2019t \u201cgoing to be doing the diapers\u201d or \u201cmaking the food,\u201d adding that he \u201cmay never even see the kids.\u201d<\/p>\n

Although Donald wasn\u2019t too involved in Barron\u2019s childhood, Melania ensured he had quality time with his father. The two often went out for dinner together. As he grew older, Barron joined his father on the golf course.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s very important to know the person you\u2019re with. And we know our roles,\u201d Melania explained.<\/p>\n

Barron\u2019s mother has helped him with his homework ever since childhood. He loved science and math, and Melania took him to different activities after school, encouraging him to reach for the stars.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe wants to be a golfer, a businessman, a pilot. It\u2019s that age when you introduce him to stuff,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

Melania wants to be around Barron \u201cas much as possible\u201d<\/h2>\n

Barron graduated from high school last May after attending the private school Oxbridge Academy in Palm Beach, Florida. In September, he enrolled at Stern Business School at New York University.<\/p>\n

While the now 19-year-old is standing on his own feet, sources have told People Magazine that Melania \u201cwill do everything she can\u201d to support Barron\u2019s well-being and ensure his good grades. Meanwhile, he will not get the \u201cfull college experience\u201d by living in a dorm.<\/p>\n

\u201cLiving in a dorm in a college town isn\u2019t in the stars for him at this point,\u201d a source told\u00a0People<\/a>. \u201cBarron already has his own political ideas. It all needs to be monitored in light of the situation.\u201d<\/p>\n

Another source told the news outlet that living at home is Barron\u2019s best option now.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhether or not others think he is capable of being on his own, Melania feels it\u2019s better to be around him as much as possible,\u201d that source said. \u201cI see that continuing.\u201d<\/p>\n

Melania is of Slovenian descent. Because of that, she raised Barron to be bilingual, and when he calls his grandparents in Slovenia, he speaks Slovenian. Both she and Donald agree that the more languages one speaks, the better, and at one point, Melania revealed that he spoke three languages. On a few occasions, the world even got to hear him.<\/p>\n

Melania reveals Donald Trump wanted more children after Barron<\/h2>\n

Videos of a young Barron speaking with a Slovenian accent resurfaced after Donald Trump\u2019s 2024 Presidential Election win. Entertainment Tonight shared a\u00a0video<\/a>\u00a0of Barron speaking with his mother in 2009 when he was about to turn three. Barron was heard saying, \u201cI like to play drums,\u201d his mother added, \u201cHe loves to play drums, so maybe for his birthday, you will get the present?\u201d<\/p>\n

Another clip of a young Barron speaking with an accent resurfaced from the 2010 Larry King interview his parents did. The young boy appeared in his father\u2019s office, saying, \u201cI like my suitcase.\u201d<\/p>\n

Donald Trump was married twice before he and Melania tied the knot in 2005. His marriage to Ivana Trump lasted from 1977 to 1990, and the president\u2019s second marriage to Marla Maples lasted five years.<\/p>\n

With Ivana, Trump welcomed three children,\u00a0Ivanka<\/a>,\u00a0Donald Jr<\/a>, and\u00a0Eric<\/a>, and with Marla Maples, one daughter, Tiffany Trump. Barron is the youngest of Donald\u2019s children, but if he had decided, there would have been more additions to the family.<\/p>\n

Speaking with\u00a0Fox and Friends<\/em>\u00a0last year, Melania revealed that Donald wanted more children after Barron was born. Meanwhile, Melania was pleased with just one.<\/p>\n

\u201cI was always perfectly fine with one. And Donald was encouraging [us] to have more,\u201d Melania recalled. \u201cAnd I said, like, \u2018I\u2019m completely fine with one because it\u2019s [a] very busy life.’\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI think it\u2019s very important that we show our children that we are working too\u201d<\/h2>\n

When she met Donald, Melania was a famous model. In the 1990s, she moved from her home country of Slovenia to pursue her career in the US and did very well for herself.<\/p>\n

In her memoir, Melania wrote about a \u201cchaotic\u201d scene at her home office when Barron was young, with his books spread out \u201call over the floor\u201d and the young boy sitting in a toy car. In the Fox interview, the First Lady stated that it was important for her to show Barron what an ordinary day could look like in her working life.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think it\u2019s very important that we show our children that we are working too. To give them an example [of] how life is,\u201d she said. \u201cThat they see us, that we are productive, that we have ideas, that ideas come to life. And that\u2019s how I was showing Barron.\u201d<\/p>\n

Barron\u2019s closest step-sibling, age-wise, is Tiffany, 13 years his senior. While Barron most likely never lived with his step-siblings, they were a blended family. In the Fox interview, Melania advised on how to approach that.<\/p>\n

\u201cTo take [an] individual as they are. You cannot control anyone. You could control only your own behavior, your own words. Everybody is in control of [their] own self. I\u2019m not in control of my husband. I\u2019m not in control of his children. I\u2019m not even in control of my child. He\u2019s his own person We all have yes and no\u2019s. And we are all individuals. Once you lead your life with respect and love\u2026 that\u2019s all [that] matters,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n

Melania Turmp says Barron is an \u201cincredible\u201d young man<\/h2>\n

Melania continued: \u201cI raised Barron as [his] own person and gave him his own yes and nos. I respect that. It was his decision to come here that he wants to be in New York and study in New York and live in his home, and I respect that.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cHe\u2019s [an] incredible young man. I\u2019m very proud\u2026 His strength, his intelligence, his knowledge, his kindness. It\u2019s admirable. He\u2019s enjoying his college days. I hope he will have a great experience because his life is very different than any other 18, 19 year old child,\u201d she concluded.<\/p>\n
