Diane, who played the role for 18 years, also appeared on shows such as EastEnders and Only Fools and Horses in her career.<\/p>\n<p>Diane\u2019s agent Shane Collins announced the sad news of her passing on 15th January, saying: \u201cI am sad to say that Diane Langton passed away this morning.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Following the news, tributes from fans across the world were quick to pour in for Diane.<\/p>\n<p>One wrote: \u2018Nooooo Not Diane Langton. I loved Nana McQueen\u00a0<img decoding=\"async\" class=\"emoji\" role=\"img\" draggable=\"false\" src=\"https:\/\/s.w.org\/images\/core\/emoji\/15.0.3\/svg\/1f622.svg\" alt=\"\ud83d\ude22\" \/>\u00a0#Hollyoaks\u2019, with another adding: \u2018rip to the wonderful diane langton\u00a0<img decoding=\"async\" class=\"emoji\" role=\"img\" draggable=\"false\" src=\"https:\/\/s.w.org\/images\/core\/emoji\/15.0.3\/svg\/1f494.svg\" alt=\"\ud83d\udc94\" \/>\u00a0a true soap icon who brought so much humour and warmth to her role and who will be terribly missed. i\u2019m heartbroken\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>Diane started her career as a dancer and performed in a number of West End shows, before moving into the world of TV, appearing in shows such as Heartbeat, The Bill, Doctors, Only Fools and Horses and EastEnders.<\/p>\n<p>In July 2007, Diane joined the cast of Hollyoaks as Nana McQueen and has been playing the role on and off for 18 years.<\/p>\n<p>Diane\u2019s cause of death is currently unknown, our thoughts are with her loved ones at this sad time.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Actress Diane Langton, famed for the playing the iconic role of Nana McQueen in Channel 4 soap Hollyoaks, has sadly died at the age of 77.
