Lee\u2019s wife, Diane Lee, and his sister, Norine Lee, confirmed his death to\u00a0TMZ\u00a0<\/a>Sunday.<\/p>\n

The actor died after battling\u00a0ALS<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Lee was diagnosed with a degenerative brain disease in October, before further testing revealed that he had ALS earlier this month.<\/p>\n

ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig\u2019s disease, is\u00a0a progressive and fatal neurological disorder that affects the nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord, according to the\u00a0Mayo Clinic<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Lee starred in over 40 episodes of \u201cWorkaholics,\u201d which aired for seven seasons on Comedy Central from 2011 to 2017.<\/p>\n

The workplace sitcom follows three friends from California who work together as telemarketers and are labeled the \u201cWorkaholics.\u201d<\/p>\n

Some of the \u201cWorkaholics\u201d cast members paid tribute to Lee on social media after his death.<\/p>\n

\u201cRest in peace Waymond Lee. I am gutted. He was such a kind man,\u201d\u00a0wrote Adam DeVine<\/a>, who co-created the show and played Adam DeMamp.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy deepest condolences go out to his wife Diane and the rest of his family,\u201d DeVine\u2019s Instagram tribute to Lee continued. \u201cHe was always down to do whatever insane thing we wrote for him on\u00a0Workaholics. He was always game. A true professional.\u201d<\/p>\n

DeVine, 41, added, \u201cEven though I haven\u2019t seen him since the workaholics days this is hitting me like a brick to the face. When I think of our show I think of Waymond. The older I get the more I realize what a special time that was. You will be missed Way Way!\u201d<\/p>\n

Blake Anderson, who also co-created the series and played Blake Henderson, remembered Lee in\u00a0his own tribute.<\/a><\/p>\n

\u2018This KING! Waymond Lee. Rest in peace my friend,\u201d Anderson, 40, began. \u201cI just don\u2019t even know where to begin. The best explanation that comes to mind is in the Marvel multiverse movies when they explain the idea of \u201canchor beings\u201d Waymond was the workaholics anchor being. The workaholics universe just simply doesn\u2019t exist without him.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cHe was there from even before the beginning. He was always blown away and so appreciative of all the love Workaholics fans showed him,\u201d Anderson went on. \u201cI\u2019m very grateful I randomly ran into him on set in 2022 and gave him a big old hug. Such a peaceful and warm guy. He really made my heart smile.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWaymond was a great dude. All my love goes out to his family and friends,\u201d Anderson added.<\/p>\n

Another tribute came from \u201cWorkaholics\u201d co-creator and star Anders Holm.<\/p>\n

\u201cWaymond Lee was a great guy,\u201d Holm, 43, wrote. \u201cEven though he never spoke on the show, he was always chatting people up on set. Super positive. Goofy and fun, but would drop some real elder wisdom on us. Loved seeing him get love from the fans and always enjoyed seeing him pop up in other shows and movies.\u201d<\/p>\n
