Discount Food Box is closing its outlet food store in Groton Shopping Plaza.<\/p>\n
The store has been running sales recently and posted about its \u201clast shipment\u201d coming in Nov. 11. A comment on the post asked if the store is closing, to which Discount Food Box responded: \u201cUnfortunately. We aren\u2019t sure on an exact date quite yet but we are anticipating by mid-December.\u201d<\/p>\n
Patch\u2019s calls and emails to Discount Food Box seeking comment were not returned.<\/p>\n
Discount Food Box sells a \u201cwide selection of organic, gluten-free, keto, and other specialty foods including fresh local fruit, vegetables, dairy, and frozen foods,\u201d according to its website.<\/p>\n
Some of the sales currently going on include 10 percent off and BOGO free of the same it and 50 percent off select items like beverages, cleaning supplies, and supplements.
\nAs of Nov. 11, the store lists hours of 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday to Friday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.<\/p>\n
