Sally Field, the acclaimed American actress and filmmaker, has left an indelible mark on the world of entertainment with her extraordinary talent and enduring career spanning over six decades.<\/p>\n

Considered one of the most versatile and talented actresses of her generation, Sally Field can look back on a fantastic career in Hollywood. She has charmed us with some iconic roles in numerous films and tv shows.<\/p>\n

For example, I will never forget her unforgettable performance in\u00a0Steel Magnolias<\/em>\u00a0and that\u00a0funeral scene.<\/a>\u00a0<\/em>Sally did an excellent job of portraying a woman torn by love, discouragement, anger, and loss.<\/p>\n

But of course, she\u2019s also famous for her roles in famous movies and series like\u00a0Gidget<\/em>,\u00a0The Flying Nun<\/em>,\u00a0Smokey and the Bandit<\/em>,\u00a0Forrest Gump<\/em>,\u00a0Mrs. Doubtfire<\/em>, and\u00a0Erin Brockovich<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Sally was born into a working-class showbiz family in Pasadena, California.<\/p>\n

But her childhood was far from a fairytale. In her memoirs, Sally\u00a0wrote that her stepfather did some very bad things<\/a>\u00a0to her and she had a secret abortion at 17.<\/p>\n

Yet she turned out to be such a beautiful, humble human being.<\/p>\n

As for today, Sally still continues to work regularly. She played Janice in the 2020 TV series\u00a0Dispatches From Elsewhere<\/em>. In 2022, she stars as Jessie Buss in\u00a0Winning Time: The Rise of the Lakers Dynasty<\/em>, the popular tv series that portrays the professional and personal lives of the 1980s Los Angeles Lakers.<\/p>\n

So considering how active she is, it\u2019s not surprising that Sally appears in interviews from time to time.<\/p>\n

On Thursday, Dec. 1, episode of \u201cWatch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen<\/a>,\u201d beloved star Sally Field decided to admit her worst on-screen kiss to the public after a probing question by a fan came in.<\/p>\n

Field, 76, looked around after the question was asked, laughing, \u201cOh boy. Shall I really name names here?\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI think you should,\u201d Cohen, 54, replied.<\/p>\n

Field caved: \u201cOkay. This is going to be a shocker. Hold on folks.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Oscar-winning actress named her former boyfriend\u2013star Burt Reynolds\u2013as the culprit.<\/p>\n

Cohen quickly followed up, asking, \u201cBut weren\u2019t you dating at the time?\u201d<\/p>\n

Field explained that it was during filming for \u201cSmokey and the Bandit\u201d that she had to \u201clook the other way\u201d during filming. She said this was because this\u00a0 \u201cjust was not something he really did for you.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cIsn\u2019t that something,\u201d Cohen responded in surprise.<\/p>\n

The actress went on to explain that there was a lot of \u201cdrooling\u201d on Reynolds\u2019 part during their time sharing the screen.<\/p>\n

The two co-stars met in 1977 while filming \u201cSmokey and the Bandit,\u201d and they went on to date for about five years.<\/p>\n

Reynolds, who sadly died of cardiac arrest at 82, reportedly talked about his relationship with Field in his memoir\u00a0But Enough About Me<\/em>, according to the\u00a0New York Post<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The star expressed regret about their time together, wishing that he had tried harder to make things work between them.<\/p>\n

In March, Field\u00a0explained to\u00a0Variety<\/em><\/a>\u00a0that she had stopped speaking with Reynolds in the final 30 years of his life with good reason.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe was not someone I could be around,\u201d she elaborated. \u201cHe was just not good for me in any way. And he had somehow invented in his rethinking of everything that I was more important to him than he had thought, but I wasn\u2019t. He just wanted to have the thing he didn\u2019t have. I just didn\u2019t want to deal with that.\u201d<\/p>\n
