I was preparing to go cash a paycheck when I realized my husband hadn\u2019t signed it. Since I was already running late, I quickly sent our four-year-old daughter upstairs to \u201cget Daddy\u2019s name on the back of it.\u201d<\/p>\n
A few minutes later, she came back downstairs, handed me the check, and looked incredibly pleased with herself.<\/p>\n
I glanced at the back of the check and immediately noticed something different.<\/p>\n
She had printed, in large, careful letters: \u201cD-A-D.\u201d<\/p>\n
I stared at it for a moment, then asked, \u201cHoney, where did you learn to spell Daddy\u2019s name?\u201d<\/p>\n
She smiled proudly and said, \u201cI knew his name, so I did it myself.\u201d<\/p>\n
It was definitely kid stuff\u2014but I had a feeling the bank teller was going to have a few questions.<\/p>\n

His mother looked confused. \u201cWhat did Mrs. Johnson say?\u201d<\/p>\n
The boy grinned proudly.<\/p>\n
\u201cShe said I was so dirty, my own mother wouldn\u2019t recognize me!\u201d<\/p>\n
Exam Scare<\/p>\n
Father to son after the exam: \u201cLet me see your report card.\u201d<\/p>\n
The son suddenly became very interested in anything except the report card.<\/p>\n
\u201cMy friend just borrowed it,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
The father raised an eyebrow. \u201cYour friend borrowed your report card? Why?\u201d<\/p>\n
The son sighed.<\/p>\n

A man was invited to dinner at the home of a new friend. While they ate, the new friend\u2019s small son kept staring at the guest without saying a word.<\/p>\n
