They sighed dramatically, complained that I was ruining everything, and accused me of being unfair. Nearly an hour later, realizing I wasn’t bluffing and wasn’t going to be intimidated, they finally clicked their seatbelts into place.<\/p>\n
By then, traffic had built up, and every minute we had lost came back to haunt us. We reached the airport just as the departure boards changed\u2014the check-in had closed, and they had missed their flight.
