Every afternoon, a group of retired ladies gathered on the same park bench. The biggest attraction wasn’t the pigeons or the sunshine\u2014it was 87-year-old former actress Gloria.<\/p>\n
Without fail, she’d clear her throat dramatically and begin:<\/p>\n
“Ladies, did I ever tell you about the time I slapped the leading man so hard during filming that the director yelled, ‘Cut!’… and the hero yelled, ‘Call my dentist!'”<\/p>\n
The women laughed.<\/p>\n
The next day she announced, “On another movie set, the director told me, ‘Gloria, give us a look that melts hearts.’ Three cameramen forgot to press the record button!”<\/p>\n
The ladies applauded.<\/p>\n
On Friday she sighed and said, “My biggest fan once waited outside the studio for six days just to get my autograph.”<\/p>\n
One woman asked, “Six days? That’s incredible! What happened?”<\/p>\n
Gloria smiled proudly.<\/p>\n
“He finally got tired… and became the studio security guard.”<\/p>\n
Just then an elderly gentleman walking past stopped, smiled, and said,<\/p>\n
“Excuse me, ladies… everything Gloria said is absolutely true.”<\/p>\n
The women gasped.<\/p>\n
“Were you one of her co-stars?”<\/p>\n
He chuckled.<\/p>\n
“No… I was the studio accountant.”<\/p>\n
“So you remember all those movies?”<\/p>\n
“Oh, I remember them.”<\/p>\n
He grinned and added:<\/p>\n
